Maine Renewable Energy is an affiliate of Competitive Energy Services or simply CES. CES is Maine’s largest retail broker of electricity and is licensed by the Maine Public Utilities Commission to supply electricity.

In a little over a year, Maine Renewable Energy or MRE has grown to serve more than 2,500 accounts and is providing 25 million kWhs a year to these customers. MRE is pleased to offer Mainers a choice- a choice that is good for our residents, good for our State, and good for our Planet.

By signing up with MRE, consumers can buy electricity that is 100% renewable, AND 100% emission free. Our electricity has no harmful air emissions- NO CO2, NO NOx, and NO SO2, which means NO contribution to global warming, ozone, smog, or acid rain.

Our electricity is ZERO EMISSION- plain and simple.

We are doing our part to make Maine a healthier place to live, work, vacation, and raise a family.

We are doing our part to reduce dependence on foreign sources of energy and free our country from the stranglehold that comes from dependence on Middle Eastern oil.

We are doing our part to promote Maine's economy by supporting small hydroelectric generators of electricity in Maine, thereby keeping jobs, money, and opportunities in our State.
