Our Electricity is 100% Renewable

All of our electricity comes from either small hydroelectric generation plants, or from wind generation. The former are powered by water from Maine's lakes and rivers, while the latter use wind power to generate electricity. Both sources of power - water and wind - are 100% renewable.

Maine Renewable Energy is the only 100% renewable electricity product currently being offered in Maine to residential customers. By comparison, Maine's Standard Offer Service is only 23% renewable, and New England generation as a whole is only 12% renewable.
