Maine Clean Power offers three product choices

Maine Clean Power Hydro is a 100% hydro product that is generated entirely within the State of Maine by Low Impact Hydro Certified generating stations*. This means that these facilities have taken steps above and beyond those required by State and Federal law to reduce impact on the surrounding wildlife and watershed areas. MRE Maine Clean Power Hydro-Wind is a 50% hydro product generated by Low Impact Hydro certified generators located in Maine. In addition, 50% of the electricity provided to you will be matched by wind generation renewable energy credits from a national Green-e wind generator.

MRE Maine Clean Power Wind is a 100% hydro product generated by Low Impact Hydro certified generators located in Maine. In addition, 100% of the electricity provided to you will be matched by wind generation renewable energy credits from a national Green-e wind generator.

*If such LIHI facilities are not available, then MRE warrants that the electricity we provide will be produced by Maine hydroelectric generating stations that have been licensed by the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC) after January 1, 1987.

As of today, prices for Maine Clean Power products are as follows:

Prices vary from day to day with the electric market, but are locked in for three years once a contract has been executed, with an option for automatic renewal (at current market price) for 3-year terms thereafter. To lock into these prices today, please go to our online sign-up form and follow the simple 3 step process. If you choose to apply by mail, the price will be verified by telephone when the contract is received.
